Its difficult to imagine some parts of the world are suffering from cold and snow at the moment, whereas in Philippines, well it feels like its summer all year round, and one cannot wait to hop on the next boat, plane, bus for their next venture,
People here are always up to something fun.. They were not wrong when they said ITS ALWAYS FUN IN THE PILIPINES.
This weekend for me involved a revisit to one of my favorite islands in Mactan island hopping tour, although its located in Bohol.
We indulged in a 2 hour boat ride from Mactan Cebu at around 10am. A boat was chartered via Fun and Sun Dive and travel company. Fun and dive is located in Marigondon, right beside plantation Bay resort.
Their boat was way on the expensive side, but well worth it as its the best island hopping boat i have been on, and i have been on many. The Boat was also very big, and spacious, with additional up stair deck for viewing or pure relaxation.
Maximum for this boat was i think 60 persons.
The journey there for today was very "bumpy", as the sea was very rough, but thank goodness for the big and comfortable boat , journey was made much more bearable.
I probably would have passed out from a panic attack and anxiety had we used the smaller boats, the waters were that Violent, I had my eyes on the life jackets the whole entire trip.
Actually, earlier on that morning , i was informed of a possible typhoon, and a caution of possible cancellation of all island hopping trips for the day, but i am glad this warning did not go through because it all calmed down as we reached the island and the sun shone bright at us
In fact, as we arrived the island , around 12noon, there were many people already on there. Am a little selfish when it comes to having fun on the beach, i don't like very crowded places, so in this case i was already frowning at the idea of not having a photo to fake the "alone on a deserted island" kind of photos, y'know what i mean.
Well, we were already there, the "parry" must go on. Thankfully, we had our music and blue tooth speakers and drinks to jump start the day.
Unlike us, the kids did not waste time to jump into the water,
The little child in me joined them and we started sea shell hunting.
And theeennn it happened.
Around 3pm , every body sudden!y left, and guess what. Yes you got it right we had the beach, i mean the entire island to our selves. We ran from one end to the other, and took our imagined deserted island shots.. Dream come true.
We did not seize to embrace the moment and dip into the green blue waters.
After about a whole hour of having the whole island to ourselves, the tide started to rise and the waves got stronger, a clear indication that it was time to cut short the fun and start heading back home.
We left the island back to Cebu , past 4pm. On the way back, the sea was a little rough, but not as bad.
We experienced the most beautiful moments on our way back ad well. The evening cool sea breeze, the sun set and a flock of birds swimming over the water.. Too beautiful that i forgot to take my phone and capture the moments.

Food and drinks expenses would of course depend on ur preferences. We had a lot of food and drinks that lasted us the whole day and even had left overs .
