Edit: For more context, this race is called the Rickshaw Run, you drive a custom, crappy rickshaw from Kochi to Jaisalmer, though other routes are available, with roughly 50 other teams. We stuck mostly to coastal roads.
In this photo we were going up a mountain near Kozhikode and our engine was going out, we pushed the Rickshaw to the top and coasted down the mountain to a small village where we started to drain our oil back into jugs(we thought we may have mixed it wrong) and a few locals came by and offered to help.
One of our teammates spoke decent Hindi. They helped us change our spark plugs which ended up being the problem and they refusedto take any money so we bought them chips and had a few drinks with them instead. Incredibly friendly and invited us to stay but we had so far to still go.
