This was the manner by which it was with movement: one city gives you blessings, another loots you. One gives you the heart's affections, alternate wrecks your spirit. Urban communities and nations are as alive and feeling, as flighty and dubious as individuals. Their degrees of affection and dedication are as changing as with any human connection. Similarly as one is great, another is awful.
