"...She Put a Little Money Into Traveling"
For those of you who don't know the song by Peter Bjorn and John, it talks about someone who went on a little trip to Amsterdam. I decided to do the same thing this past weekend and basically had the song stuck in my head the entire time.
Was it expensive? Yeah a bit. If you want to visit as well, you'll pay about 2/3rds less if you can go during the week as opposed to the weekend.
I'll get into details in a future post, but wanted to share a couple of shots that I took during my stay:
I was basically about a month too early to really see the colors starting to come in....but there were at least a few flowers...not the fields of tulips I was hoping for, but it was something at least. Some trees started showing buds and leaves, but again, it would be better in May.
Some of the architecture and designs are really cool....like this drawbridge that was built in....sometime in the last few hundred years or something. I don't know when, but it looks cool.
This "simple dutch bakery" had lots of macaroons, but we arrived so late lots of these little shops were closed, so "put your clothes back on, white boy!"
