I'm sure I'll get back to cooking at some point soon. I'm starting to run down the remaining stocks in the freezer. Today I did make myself a cheats burger. Toasted a burger bun on the hotplate of the sandwich press until it was nicely toasted. Cooked a finely sliced onion in melted butter for 15-20 minutes on low. When that was nearly done I pushed it to the side of the pan and added an egg in an egg ring. Removed the onion to a small bowl and set aside. Added a pre-made burger patty to the pan. Spread BBQ sauce on the lower bun, and then a bit of sweet chili sauce. Spread some Philli cream cheese (herb and garlic variety) on the top bun. Flipped the patty over, added some onion to the top of the patty and topped with a slice of cheese before covering the pan and letting it cook until the cheese had melted. Turned off the heat and removed the egg ring. Flipped the egg and then lifted the patty onto the base bun. Topped that with the egg and finally the top bun. Was delicious but no pics.
On to the actual post and as part of my drive to Adelaide took me through Coonalpyn, which has become known for it's silo artwork. The 5 children that are depicted on the silos are all local school children, and it's a very nice location to stop for a bit of a walk and stretch of the legs being located about the distance from Horsham and Adelaide for it to be a stop in either direction.
An attempt at a short panorama shot is only really spoiled by the position of the sun when I was there
I never noticed the additional lines alongside the arm that are obviously from when the artist was sketching out where things need to be
I did the best to get the other 2 road facing images without the sun, but it was right in that spot
The days drive up to this point had been pretty nice, but as it was the end of a long weekend, I was in heavier traffic than normal from here onwards, so I was very glad to have taken the time to wander around the silos and have a break.
