I've always felt this strong urge inside of me to go and see places. When I was young, I have always imagined myself as someone who will fly off to a destination after destination. Stopping to see how the sunset colors the city, how the waves caress the beach, how the wind blows through the trees on a mountain.
I would like to think of myself as someone who is adventurous. As someone who is spontaneous and who always say yes to adventures.
When I was young, I grew accustomed to traveling back and forth from Davao City to Lanao del Norte because every summer break, my dad lets us spend our vacation in his hometown. We ride a bus from Davao to Cagayan De Oro, and then another bus from Cagayan to Lanao del Norte. Our travel time is always 12 hours and we usually travel at night so we will just sleep the 12 hours off.
When I graduated college and started to work, I also started to travel and see places. The first leisure travel I did was going to Camiguin. We spent 3 days on the island and I was just so high with happiness and wanderlust. I love the beach so much and Camiguin is stunning!
I also got to see the Ilocos Region with my best friends as we explored La Union, Vigan, Laoag, and Pagudpud. That was so much fun, I think it was the funnest travel experience I had to date.
I got to see Samal Island with my college buddies and I also got a quick tour of Digos City.
I got to see the gorgeous beaches of Glan, Saranggani and also explored a little bit of General Santos City.
I continued doing travels whenever I can and I got to see Zamboanga, Boracay, Manila, Zamboanga, and of course, my favorite destination of 2017 - Siargao.
I have been seeing more and more of the Philippines and I hope I can really see everything that our lovely country has to offer. I want to explore and see Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor, Baguio, Puerto Galera, Batangas, Batanes, Aurora, Camarines, Albay, Agusan, Surigao and so, so many more!
I hope in my lifetime, I can set my foot in each of these places. Today's motto? Work and save to travel!
Someday soon, I hope I can also set foot outside the country and visit South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, New York, Rome, Greece, Paris, London, and so many more of my dream destinations.
For now, I have to work, work, work to save, save, save. š But if an opportunity arises that will allow me so see more of the Philippines, I would say yes to new adventures. Won't you? š
