Hello
, as part of my Discover Samar Island trip in the Philippines, I will share to you a newly emerged place of interest in Calbayog City. This is most likely recommended to those adventure and trail seeker.
Malajog Ridge Zipline and Nature Park is one of the beautiful place in the Province which has an unspoiled natural beauty which geographically located in Malajog, Calbayog City, Samar.
The Nature Park features stunning views of the prestine waters of the Samar sea from ridge point, the trekky trail going to the hilltop through flora and fauna, the caves which covers the path going to the ridge point, and the extreme adventure accross the water to an islet through a zipline and of course, the Malajog beach that welcomes you from the islet going back to the main island.
Upon the arrival in the Malajog Entrance, I and my friend signed up the registration desk and immediately begins the trek going to the ridgepoint. The trail takes an hour going to the zipline platform that is said to be roughly 1.85 kilometers trek going up to the ridge which is equivalent to 885 stair steps going up. This gives the tourists a warm up exercise going to the zipline. So be better to bring water to avoid dehydration. But no worries since they have designated points where you can rest and the medics desk, that is why a guide is a must going there.
So this is all about P300.00 ticket. ππ
So this is the start of the trekky trail going to the hilltop. An abrupt orientation with regard to the trail. This is our tourguide explaining everything about the trail. π
This are the rocky road going to the top. Be better to wear shoes than sandals 'cause its a lil'bit slippery. He is my friend who also loves to travel. π
These are the big rocks and beautiful caves and huge trees that almost cover the path going to the top. Flora and Fauna is indeed in this place.
The up and down trail walkπ
After an hour so here we are at the ridge point, the breathtaking view of the Samar sea and its unexploited natural beauty.
The Daraga islet that we will suppose to cross through ziplining. Very amazing view.
So this is how the Malajog ridgepoint looks like at the top of the hill.
So here we come, the zipline.
It is said to be the "first mountain to island zipline" in the country and also included in one of the longest zipline with an estimated distance of 850 meters accross the ocean from Malajog Ridge Point.
Its now my turn, I'm in a lil'bit nervous. Hahaha. Just a pose in a moment before flying to the isletπ³
So this is it. I almost wan't to decline the moment I saw the sea over the ridge point. Hahaha. So scarry.
Conquering my fears in great heights...
In God's guidance we arrived safely in the islet. So, this is how the islet looks like.
To return to the main island of Malajog, you will be needing to ride a boat for 15 minutes. The very amazing view of Samar sea.. so here it is.
Me, taking a pose in the boat. Hahaha
So this is the malajog beach that will welcome you the moment you arrive in the island.. so crowdy, since it is summer.
This all about the Malajog Zipline as its highlight of the park and its trail and beach.
The beauty of nature is indeed everywhere. It is just a matter on how we appreciate it that made us different.
hope you like it.
