This is the second part of my Kalanggaman Adventure after showcasing the Town of Palompon and its way going to Kalanggaman in my previous blog, this time am ganno show you out what makes Kalanggaman Island the most traveled place in Eastern Visayas Region. And What is really in Kalanggaman Island that cought the attention of the tourists and international travelers?
Yes. Kalanggaman Island is indeed known because of its unique camelot featuring the longest sandbar of the Philippines and the sugary white crystallin sand with the beautiful fusion of red corals that made the sand pink. The island has also lots of activities and beautiful sites which you may enjoy it in staying in the island..
The breathtaking view of the island is indeed everywhere. As in, very amazing island ever. You have nothing to do but to enjoy the trip, take selfies everywhere. From the form and location of the island, the very clear water, stunning sandbar view, the beautiful sugary white sands, the adventures, etc. really defines a true paradise. Since the place is still very unspoiled, lots of flora and fauna can be seen in the island, in terms of marine animals, and many other species may also be found in this island.
Roving around the island is quiet easy since it is not of at large area. The island is dominated of coconut trees, fruit trees, etc. It also comprises of cottages varies in its sizes depending on the number of heads to be occupied. It has a lot comfort room. You can also find a store in the island yet the price is at high cost and not even affordable to everyone. As I roved around, I have seen some construction in the island like building a Pavilion which can be used by some occassions and host activities. The Management, Rescue Team and Medics is also at 24/7 in the island. So no worries for the safety and security of the island. But of course we should always add some extra attention to the valuable things that we have to avoid some unexpected instances.
For those who love and prepare for camping, camping sites are available along the cottages and the shoreline going to the sandbar.
These are sites intended for camping.
The island activities which I have mentioned in my first part of Kalanggaman adventure are kayaking ride, pat biking, beach volleyball, diving, banana boat extreme ride, snorkeling and many others.
Among this activities, I got only the chance to try pat biking, for P100.00 you can enjoy it for 1 hour . You can use the pat biking strolling around the island.
So this is how a pat bike look like.
You may enjoy the famous Extreme Banana Boat Ride for P500.00 for two rounds good for 7 minutes. Its maximum capacity is good for 5 persons.
If you'll gonna ask me again if what makes it Extreme? My answer will definitely in this! . Hahaha. Realtalk, what makes it extreme depends on the speedboat driver for he will be controlling the ride. But to make it super steep the driver always make it to a no-mercy ride that would really made you insane. ๐
Since the banana boat is being pulled by the speedboat to make it move, the trail of the ride is really depends on the driver. But usually they will make it to the extent that would defined an extreme ride.
So this is where the Banana boat ride begins. This also used for diving, etc. A floating rubber bed that is used in diving, etc.
So here we go, let the ride begins..
Banana Boat ride is really a must to experience to everyone who will visit the island. The ride only took for seven minutes but still very satisfying.
This is how clear and clean the water in Kalanggaman is. Very pellucid ever.
Here are some sites of the island which will catch your interest as you go in this place.
At the back of the island is a rocky seashore. Although the management doesnt authorized the visitors to swim in this part because its a vicious area. Still, lots of visitors go in this place to take photos and enjoys watching the highwaves and its stunning views.
***The sandbars view. *** This is what makes the island known. Its sandbar that is being concluded by the travelers as the longest sandbar in the Philippines. It is not just an ordinary sandbar that features a white sugary sand but it serves as a mark of paradise that indeed the town of Palompon has the place to boast to everyone. They have been known all over the world just because of this amazing part of the island.
The amazing sandbar of Kalanggaman.
Along the shore, as I walked around and as you can see. A lot of tourists used to relax and chill despite the dazzling sun.
After how many hours of exploring the island and took some rest, we decided to go back to the main island of palompon. So here is the boat we used to fetch us back to the town.
Prior to our departure in the island, when we were already in the boat I took some photos to the island. And look, even in a distant the island still shines beautifully as it gives a scenic view of the sandbar.
To sum up, the island is indeed considered a small utopia of the Philippines that has a very unique features and characteristics which gives a very good ambiance to the island. No doubt that it is being visited by the international tourists. It is really one of the best place I visited so far. This is a must for those who want to unwind and escape the urban world. You should not miss this in your PH bucketlist.
