Cross at your own risk. But it is okay in this subdistrict of Bangkok. You will be very safe when you pick up this and wave it at the traffic.
The idea being you pick this up, use it to cross the road and drop it on the otherside.

What surprises me more is that the little stop flags haven't been stolen. Put this anywhere else in the world and they'd be stolen, but not here!
