Binat Bibi Mosque is the earliest surviving mosque in Dhaka worked in 1454 by Bakht Binat, the girl of Marhamat. It was amid the govern of the Sultan of Bengal, Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah (r. 1435– 1459). The mosque is situated next to the Hayat Bepari's Bridge in Narinda zone.
The mosque is a square, single domed mosque estimating 12 feet (3.7 m) square inside with a solitary hemispherical vault on the square room. Doors are from east, north and south. Pre-Mughal highlights incorporated the bended cornices and parapets, corner octagonal turrets, and curves on the south, north and eastern sides.
The ornamentation is unobtrusive and the building is covered with mortar.
Some portion of the mosque is being annihilated as a feature of a redesign arrange for which incorporates building a 70-foot (21 m) high minaret, and the expansion of the present working from three stories to seven.
