Today I want to tell you about my trip to the hospital in Pattaya.
About 20 days ago, my son came home from kindergarten with a cough. A few days later, he recovered, but now I have a cough. It was dry and only got worse every day. Having decided to self-medicate, I bought cough syrup and antibiotics. After 5-6 days, the cough almost stopped, but severe fatigue and muscle pain did not go away. In addition, diarrhea began, and I felt completely exhausted.
Yesterday, my wife persuaded me to contact the insurance company, and today we went to the hospital.
The work in the hospital is organized at the highest level - they literally lead you by the hand through the offices and provide a Russian-speaking translator.
There weren't many people in the waiting room, but most had similar symptoms: a bad cough, headache, fever.
The first thing they did was measure my weight, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels. Five minutes later, I was invited to see a doctor. I described my symptoms and told them about my self-treatment, after which they prescribed several tests:
-General blood test (from a vein)
-Blood sugar test
-COVID-19 test
Surprisingly, all the indicators were normal, but the doctor still prescribed me a whole list of pills.
It's unclear what kind of virus it is, but I've never been sick for so long before. There are rumors in Thailand that this is a new type of COVID-19 that is being hidden. I don't really believe it, but I hope that I will soon recover and will be able to take beautiful photos for my blog again.
Don't get sick! 💪
