So to give you an insight of how we experience a well deserved period of free time read below!
Day 11 of our holiday
We thought it was an excellent day to rent a boat. But since I don’t have a permit to steer a boat, we found one where you don’t need a license at all. We’ve found a nice location on a canal called Canal Dumidi. We went their with a friend of hours who is also enjoying the holiday with her daughters.
In the South of France.
It was a 2 hour drive to get there but it was all worth it. The surroundings had beautiful nature and we all enjoyed the calmness of being on the water for almost four hours!
At first I had a little bit of a hard time to get used to the steering wheel. It looked like a car steering wheel but when you spin it it does not act on it right away. Causing me to overspin the wheel of course so we went on the canal sideways in the beginning of our trip.
Half way we could get off the boat when we found a spot under some trees on the shore.
I felt like captain Cook with all my ladies laying in front of me on the sundeck.
They provided me with some beverages and food during our trip so no complaining from my part!
I now know I must rent a boat more often.
