Monument Valley, Arizona/Utah
Christmas Day for us was mostly spent in the car driving out into the Arizona desert to take a look at some awesome geology and scenery. We drove into Monument Valley, into the Navajo Nation of Native American Indians to check out all of those famous monuments from different movies and we were not disappointed!
You pay a small fee and drive into the Valley that is owned by the Navajo Nation. It’s pretty rough, but good enough to drive a normal sedan around. There were some Mustang convertibles struggling through some of the rougher sections too.
This last picture is of my littlest standing on the table where we had Christmas lunch. It was out the front of a McDonalds in a little town called Kanab,Utah. The only place that was open was the service station so we stopped there and heated up some leftover pizza from the night before and bought some jerky and soft drink. It wasn’t the classiest Christmas lunch but it was very memorable!
Thanks for reading the next instalment in our trip around the USA.
