There is no denying the beauty of the Faroe Islands, but they are unquestionably secluded. As just a small dot on the map it can be difficult to find information on how to explore the islands, but despite this, it is relatively easy to fly to the Faroes with direct flights from Edinburgh. On top of that, one of my best friends, Bina, is Faroese! So, I am very fortunate. This photo was taken in Bina’s hometown of Viðareiði, the northernmost settlement. It is sandwiched between two mountains and is located six islands away from the capital, Torshavn. With a population of just 346 people, it is one of the most remote places in Europe.
Bina is also on steemit and you should follow her: https://steemit.com/@bkallsberg 😊
