It turned out that the Pentagon conducted UFO surveys between 2007 and 2012. According to the New York Times, the project, which cost 22 million dollars, tried to identify fast aircraft and flying objects.
Retired Democrat Senator Harry Reid explained that he did something that nobody did before, expressing no embarrassment for his work. While many observations were being made within the scope of the project which was ended due to its high cost, another congress member expressed the possibility that the project could have been initiated to monitor other countries’ air vehicles.
Despite the fact that the project ended in 2012, the observations are still ongoing. In the past few days, the UIA reports in CIA's published files have been drawing attention.
