Gardens By The Bay
This sprawling garden in the city provides mesmerizing waterfront views across three gardens, spanning over 101 hectares of reclaimed land. Located next to Marina Reservoir, Gardens by the Bay offers breath-taking waterfront views. This award winning horticultural destination spans 101 hectares of reclaimed land, and is made up of two main areas—Bay South Garden and Bay East Garden.
Supersized Trees
Bay South Garden is the largest of the gardens. Inspired by an orchid, the design resembles Singapore's national flower, Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim. These stunning man-made trees of up to can be found all around the Gardens, with 12 at the Supertree Grove. Measuring between 25 and 50 metres tall, Gardens by the Bay's Super trees are designed with large canopies that provide shade in the day and come alive with an exhilarating display of lights and sounds at night. Stand in awe amidst these iconic giants, or stroll along the 22-metre-high OCBC Skyway and enjoy panoramic vistas of the Gardens and the Marina Bay skyline.
Suspended Walkway
Stroll on the suspended walkway between two Super trees to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the gardens. In the evening, catch the sky show of choreographed lights and sounds at the Garden Rhapsody amidst the Super trees. Head to Bay East Garden for the perfect picnic setting with lush lawns and tropical palm trees. From the waterfront promenade, you will see a picturesque view of the city skyline.
Cloud Forest
Unique to Gardens by the Bay is the Cloud Forest. Within the enclosed compound, a 35-metre tall mountain is veiled in mist and covered in lush vegetation amidst the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. Here, you will find plant life from tropical highlands up to 2,000 meters above sea level.The natural beauty of the gardens translates indoors. And learn about rare plants and their fast-disappearing environment.
Flower Dome
The Flower Dome replicates the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean regions and houses a collection of plants from deserts all over the world. Step into the Flower Dome and stand in awe of nature. Spectacular and innovative, it is the largest glass greenhouse in the world as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records! Be amazed by changing display of flowers and plants from the Mediterranean and semi-arid regions.
THE WORLD’S LARGEST COLUMNLESS GREENHOUSES Designed with glass that sits on a steel grid which acts like an eggshell, the two Cooled Conservatories at Gardens by the Bay are the world’s largest columnless greenhouses.
Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes
These beautiful lakes are a rich source of aquatic life and also act as an eco-filter to cleanse water pumped in from the Marina Reservoir.
Far East Organization Children's Garden
This one-hectare garden for the kids consists of a 7.5-metre-tall tree house and interactive water tunnels.
