Camiguin Island, a place where you can enjoy nature at it's finest. Housed with volcanoes and beautiful sand beaches, Camiguin is an underrated wonder. Well, enough of that, this blog is actually about how I enjoyed Camiguin, and what makes it extra special.
My adventure actually happened last September 27-29, 2017, it was at the peak of my board exam review. I don't know what came into my mind, when I suddenly decided to go to Camiguin. So, I went with a bunch of people, and the most exciting part is, two of my best friends were there. The travel went well, it was a good ride especially because this is the first time to be on a vacation with them.
We made it to the hotel and had separate rooms, of course I have to be grouped with the male travelers. Out first destination was the Ardent's Hot Spring Pool, where hot springs are everywhere, it was a place perfect for chit chats and bonding time with friends. It was 7pm in the evening and the atmosphere is cold, so there's no choice but to dip yourself into the hot water. When the three of us was the only ones left, we started to wonder, on how things will be if the six of us were complete. We even talked about our future adventures together, that next time all of us will be together.
O, shoot, I forgot to introduce them.
So the one who's wearing the sunglasses is elle, and the one on her left is yanie. Elle is a blogger and vlogger, while yanie is a nurse and the best church singer.
On the second day we went to white island! We woke up around 5 am in the morning so we can witness the sunrise from the island. This time we had a lot of photos, and I am going to show you later a few of them.
We stayed for like an hour, and the water is just perfect. The three of us were together the whole time, doing some pep talks. We even did snorkeling, and it's just so funny, because elle is scared of the fishes, and they are so freaking tiny. I even befriended a clown fish, and she was like, "don't you dare give that to me!", and yanie was just laughing the whole time. Ah those days!
After we had our time on the white island, we prepared for our next trip which is the RUINS!! At this point we already made bunch of friends, and it was totally amazing. We did hide and seek, tag, and even did a pictorial. It was becoming a fine day, one for the books to be exact. I never knew that that day would even come to my life, where I am just plainly joyful, and no worries at all. Here take a look at the photos we got from the ruins.
oops, sorry for the nudity. lol
Actually the ruins is an old catholic church, housed by Spanish friars during their colony here in the Pilippines, it became a ruin after the war and several volcanic eruptions.
Then we headed to the Sunken Cemetery to witness the sunset. It has a huge cross on the sea, and underneath it are graves. It was scary at first, but then our tour guide/the boat owner made us really comfortable with his little history lessons. A few moments of staying at the huge cross in the middle of the sea, the tour guide offered himself as a photographer, so we gave him a phone. He gave several instructions to us, and were totally confuse with what we are doing, but when we saw the pictures, it was lit.
Another group of tourists came, and we have to give up our place for them to have a pictorial, so we did not see the sunset. But as we drive going back to the hotel, the sky suddenly became red and we were just stunned by the beauty we have witnessed. Here take a look!
And that ended our day.
Many things happened that night, but I don't have tracks of the pictures, let's just leave that side private. Memories were made, friendships were born, and bonds were strengthened. Many unexpected things happened, maybe God really wanted us to relax and enjoy our stay there. And I am happy because I got to spend that time with my best friends, and our new found friends.
Those are just the highlights and few destinations of our stay there. Camiguin has more, and I don't wan't to spoil you with too much information, because I wan't you to discover and experience it on your own.
VISIT CAMIGUIN, VISIT PHILIPPINES!
Sorry, if I don't have any details on the price lists, and hotel rates.
