Prague, Capital of the Czech Republic
Prague is undeniably an architectural FEAST for the eyes!
St. Vitus Cathedral. This cathedral is such a magnificent example of Gothic architecture and is the largest in the country.
This mechanical clock and astronomical dial dates back to 1410 and is said to be the oldest working clock in the world.
Charles Bridge crosses the Vltava river. Construction started in 1357 under King Charles IV. The bridge alone is magnificent. This is the entrance to the bridge.
You can see Prague Castle in the background (green copper top). I did not make it to the Prague Castle, but it gives me something else to look forward to on the next visit. Just taking a picture of the Castle from Charles Bridge was impressive.
Old Town Square
Beautiful archway. Just walking the cobble streets was a pleasure.
One last magnificent gothic picture of the St. Vitus Cathedral
Hope you enjoyed my post because I enjoyed making it.
