Built in 1898 during the Klondike (Alaska) Gold Rush, the White Pass & Yukon train is a marvel of engineering. This route was used to transport gold to the Dawson City from port in Skagway, Alaska.
The Klondike Gold Rush was a migration by about 100,000 prospectors to the Klondike region of Yukon in Northern Canada between 1896 and 1899.
