Here are some more photos from one of our recent Caribbean cruises. This is on the scenic island of St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our excursion on this day took us zip-lining high up in the forested mountains with spectacular views of the ocean and coastline for over 1,000 ft above sea level.
This was an amazing experience where we got to traverse 7 different levels on our way down. The final zipline had no end point. You went down the line and slide back and forth until you settled in the middle. They then moved a rolling platform over to let you down.
The views from each of the launching towers were amazing. We had 180 panoramic views of the island, beaches, and ocean.
St. Thomas was hit hard in late 2017 by a series of Hurricanes that damaged or destroyed most of the forested areas, and homes across the island. We hope to return to St. Thomas in the future once they are able to recover from the loss.
