I didn't take many photos on the grounds of The Alamo, the battle has always had a special meaning to me as a former fighting man, it's a tale of true grit and heartfelt sacrifices and I was a bit overcome to finally be on those sacred grounds.
This star was on a pillar near the north wall, I believe LtCol. Travis was killed near this spot. I'm glad I got at least this photo of my pocket silver...
The grounds are very peaceful and respectful despite the large crowds that are present.
