Rerebe Waterfall - Hidden Natural Beauty of Aceh

Aceh is one of the areas located at the most end of the island of Sumatra-Indonesia which stores a variety of natural beauty. One of them is the charm of waterfall Rerebe in mid-Aceh province that is in Gayo Lues district. Gayo Lues is an area dominated by hills and mountains towering so that this area is also called the Land of Thousand Hill. This area also keeps a variety of natural potential that is worth a visit, such as Leuser Mountain National Park, Tree House in Genting, Love Hill in Blangkejeren and Waterfall in Rerebe Village.

Aceh merupakan salah satu daerah yang berada di paling ujung pulau Sumatera-Indonesia yang menyimpan berbagai keindahan alam. Salah satunya adalah pesona air terjun Rerebe di pertengahan provinsi Aceh yaitu di kabupaten Gayo Lues. Gayo Lues adalah sebuah daerah yang didominasi oleh berbagai perbukitan serta pegunungan yang menjulang tinggi sehingga daerah ini juga disebut dengan Negeri Seribu Bukit. Daerah ini juga menyimpan berbagai potensi alam yang patut dikunjungi, seperti Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser, Rumah Pohon di Genting, Bukit Cinta di Blangkejeren serta Air Terjun di Desa Rerebe.

Geographically this waterfall is located in the village Rerebe, District Tripe Jaya, Gayo Lues District, Aceh Province. To be able to see the beauty of this tour, takes 2 to 3 hours drive from Gayo Lues district. Although the time taken is quite long and must pass the road in the mountains, this will not make us feel tired and bored. Because we can enjoy the various scenery of the green hills and wide river along the way to the village Rerebe.

Secara geografis air terjun ini terletak di desa Rerebe, Kecamatan Tripe Jaya, Kabupaten Gayo Lues, Provinsi Aceh. Untuk dapat melihat indahnya wisata ini, membutuhkan waktu 2 sampai 3 jam perjalanan dari kabupaten Gayo Lues. Walaupun waktu yang ditempuh tergolong cukup lama serta harus melewati jalan di pegunungan, hal ini tidak akan membuat kita merasa lelah dan bosan. Karena kita bisa menikmati berbagai pemandangan perbukitan yang hijau serta sungai yang luas disepanjang perjalanan menuju desa Rerebe.

I and my friends just dropped the various supplies and food, because we will enjoy lunch right in front of the waterfall. For visitors who do not bring food, no need to worry because before the waterfall we can buy various food supplies in the village Rerebe. After eating, I immediately changed clothes to enjoy a bath at the waterfall tesebut. The water is very cold because it flows directly from the mountains. Although cold, I really enjoy it. Really very fresh.

Sesampainya di sana, kita bisa langsung melihat keindahan air terjun yang dikelilingi oleh pepohonan yang hijau. Saya bersama teman-teman langsung saja menurunkan berbagai perlengkapan serta makanan, karena kami akan menikmati makan siang tepat di depan air terjun. Bagi pengunjung yang tidak membawa makanan, tidak perlu risau karena sebelum sampai air terjun kita bisa membeli berbagai perbekalan makanan di desa Rerebe. Selesai makan, saya langsung mengganti pakaian untuk menikmati mandi di air terjun tesebut. Airnya sangat dingin karena mengalir langsung dari pegunungan. Walaupun dingin, saya sangat menikmatinya. Sungguh sangat segar.

Jika tidak ingin basah, kita juga bisa menikmati air dengan menurunkan kaki di kolam yang tepat berada di depan air terjun. Kolam air yang berwarna biru seperti samudera ini membuat keindahan pesona air terjun Rerebe ini semakin indah. Dengan dikelilingi oleh pepohonan yang hijau membuat tempat wisata ini seolah-olah menjadi tempat yang sangat cocok untuk refresing.
