Wat Khao Wong or Tham Narai is a beautiful and peaceful temple in Saraburi province in the central part of Thailand. It’s famous for its amazing cave and wonderful meditation center.
Wat means temple
Khao means mountain
As this temple is adjacent to the mountain, the building was built from stone beautifully and coexist with nature perfectly.
Most of Buddha images are in the cave. All of them are magnificent.
The cave is named “Tham Narai”.
Tham means cave
Narai is the name of the great King in the Ayutthaya period who stopped by the cave and stayed there overnight in ancient times.
The golden Buddha images that you will see below are the "Buddha Images for the Seven Days of the Week"; Sunday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. They have different unique postures.
If you were born on Thursday (like me), you will have to worship the Buddha image of Thursday and you will have good things in life. This is our belief.
There are also some beautiful Buddha images in a small room outside the cave.
The following white statue of the Goddess of Guanyin that stands on the white lotus in the water with the stone mountain in the background is very gorgeous and fascinating.
With the peaceful environment and nice surrounding nature, Wat Khao Wong is great for meditation indeed.
And this can relax both your body and mind as well.
Come and visit Wat Khao Wong, so you can prove this by yourself.
