Manor house of Rejtan in Hrushauka, Belarus.
Hrushauka is a village in a Lyakhavichy district, Brest region of Belarus.
The Manor house was built in the 17th century.
Thus, this manor complex is very old.
Also you can see an amazing Audi A6 at the corner.
The main notable feature of the manor in the Hrushauka village is that Tadeusz Rejtan was born, lived and died here.
Tadeusz Rejtan is a Belarusian nobleman, Deputy General in a Sejm of Navahrudak voivodship of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. In 1773 he took part in the so-called "separation" Sejm in Warsaw. Together with some other nobles Tadeusz Rejtan tried to derail a diet to prevent the approval of the first partition of Poland in every way. When all means have been exhausted, Tadeusz Rejtan got ill as a cause of the Diet of protest against the partitions were not approved by the courtroom deputies. For this, he lied before going out with the words: "Kill me, do not kill the Fatherland!". This protest was captured in a painting by Jan Matejko "Rejtan. The decline of Poland". In Belarus and Poland Tadeusz Rejtan is considered a national hero, an example of patriotism and self-sacrifice.
Thus, the complex of buildings of the old manor house in the village Hrushauka owned by Tadeusz Rejtan certainly is an architectural monument, a great cultural and historical value and an important tourist attraction in Belarus, despite the fact that so far this architectural complex is in poor condition. Though for a certain circle of tourists coming to Belarus, the ruins are even more interesting than the restored building.
A very remarkable tomb-chapel, built in the early 20th century relates to the manor complex in Hrushauka, and is located approximately in one kilometer from the manor house, on the opposite side of the road, on the border of the forest and fields.
