Cheap Beer!

Don't come to Vietnam if you have a drinking problem! Beer here is very delicious and costs 50 cents to a dollar. Last night my brother and I went out to watch the Morocco and Portugal World Cup game and some friendly Vietnamese guys kept getting us to down beer. I drank so much beer so fast that I puked it out in the street. It was like a fresh restart. We kept drinking.

I've been in the Army, the Navy, and many frat parties, but these guys could out drink anyone!

Casino

Don't come to Vietnam if you have a gambling problem. My first day in Hanoi I met this girl in a bar who told me if I gave her ONE MILLION dong that she'd take care of everything for two days. One Million dong is only $44. We drank some, had a few meals, got two days in a cheap motel, and went to a casino.

The casino has mostly old machines from 2002. Most people were sitting at the roulette table. When everyone lost all their money they just hung around until it was 8pm because the casino gave them all a free $50 voucher. I guess the casino knew everyone was such a degenerate gambler that they'd lose all that money. I found out they give out free $50 vouchers to anyone who plays on the weekends.

Great Food

Most meals have cost less than a dollar and I haven't had a bad tasting one yet. The first picture above of the beer had a chicken all chopped up, you can see his head and feet, it was a little strange, but it tasted great. There are plenty of western restaurants if you don't like Vietnamese food, but I'm sure you'll love any food you try here.

Fairness

I've lived in Thailand my whole life and speak Thai fluently, but I still get scammed every chance they get. Not in Vietnam. They won't take tips and are always fair about prices. Even the emergency 15 minute visa to Vietnam, which was $240, was returned to my credit card after three days.

Sim Cards

Right when you leave customs at the airport you can buy a Vietnamese sim card for $20 or less and it will work right away. This is something impossible to do in Korea, Thailand, or Japan, unless you have all the right paperwork.

Beautiful Women

Don't come to Vietnam if you have a strong attraction for Asian women. I've traveled most of Asia, but Vietnam has some of the sexiest and most beautiful women I've ever seen.
