This is the statue of James McGill, the founder of Montreal's very famous university, McGill University.
This statue is actually taller than me (I'm less than 5 foot 😂), but as you can see, the snow is very high, closer to his chest, and yes, when snow is that crazy, it can get that plenty in Montreal 😂 I believed I took a picture of this statue during summer to show comparison, but I couldn't find it 😌 Please Google to see this statue without the snow 😁
Besides known as the father of the university, McGill was also the founder of Beaver Club, a club for 'barons' of Montreal in fur trading, back in 1700s. That being said, McGill was also known as a great businessman, as well as a philantrophist.
Dedicated by David Roper-Curzon in 1996, You can find this bronze statue on the lawn of McGill University.
