Brewery and wine cellar, they are always interesting to check out, don't you think? Barrels, huge kettles, things that you don't normally see in a household or regular store, are very interesting to me, so when it's not too expensive, I like going for wine tasting and whatnot. Although I don't really enjoy wine and beer, I just love seeing those huge barrels underground, so Fifty Shades of Grey π
I kid, I kid, I haven't seen the movie(s), daaayyyuuuuum π
Today I am sharing of a wine cellar that I got to check out while holidaying in Pecs, Hungary. There are so many of them throughout Hungary, and even in Pecs itself, there are tons. This one that we went to is called Pecsi Puspoki Pinceszet - Bishop's Wine Cellar.
We decided to go to this one as it was downtown, closer to the other tourists places we visited, like the famous Cathedral, which is the main attraction of Pecs, and this cellar can be reached by foot should you go around places downtown.
This wine cellar is sooooo neat and clean, made me want to have a camp there, seriously. It is so nice inside. You know how winery would say "black mold/fungus on wine cellar's wall is actually good condition for the wine to age", I don't like to see those black fungus, and at Bishop's Wine Cellar, there was none! So I didn't feel icky and yucky πβοΈπ
The guy who was our host for the day was pretty friendly but too bad service wasn't in English! So had I went there with no Hungarians at that time, I would understand nada. Their brochure does have English information on it and he did ask if anyone in our group spoke Hungarian, perhaps if there weren't Hungarians in our group he might have communicated in English, is my guess.
If you are holidaying in Pecs, planning to go to Pecs, and if you like this sorts of tour, I'd recommend you to do wine tasting at Bishop's Wine Cellar, it's very enjoyable π
