Whenever I land at Changi Airport I am always overjoyed, mainly because it means I am almost home, but it also means I get to check out their orchid and sunflower gardens, which are well cared for and lovely. These two flowers I truly love.
Strolling through Changi Airport checking out the vendors can be fun, for little kids, I find it a bit hmmm, what is the word, not boring but, you know, almost at any international airport, vendors are offering almost the same products, of perfumes, make-ups, bags, scarves, smokes and the like, so I prefer checking the food counters 😅
The good thing about Changi airport is the ability to sleep on the provided lounges. For those long connecting flights that are on a budget, one can enjoy these sleeping-areas. I am not too fond of international airport(s) that would close its doors at certain H, so connecting-flight passengers must look-up for overnight hotel. If you are familiar with the country, the area, the language, no kids in tow, sure that would be easier, but there is hardly international flights that only take a couple of hours of flight, where you would be still fresh coming out of the plane, right? So it is really inconvenient, and those in-airpot hotels can be super expensive, so not much choice. But Changi airport understands that, so kudos to them👍
When we used to fly from Montreal to SEA, the flight often via Changi Airport, but now that we fly from Vancouver, our destination is never via Changi Airport no more (or so far), which is a shame (for now) as they have (new) areas/displays/gardens that look and sound awesome like these following pictures I got from their site.
Water Lilly Garden
Kinetic Rain
Butterfly Garden
Cactus Garden
Check out this one, how elegant and huge is this right, almost like as if you were at a grand wedding party or a hotel.
And now I read they even have a brand new terminal, superb👍
Thanks for looking!
