Travel searches for Norway are still fruitful. I discover something new and amazing each time. Recently I came across a place called Segla and it is one of those places that words can't explain... instead the photograph below will surffice.
In the same area as Senja, an arctic village famous among tourists who visit the Aurora lights is Segla. It acts as one mountainous peninsula with sharp, steep sided cliffs that protrude from icy waters.
A road trip would be idea to experience the true beauty of the country, but with 22 hour drive and 1,700+ km of road from Oslo, you will need lots of time. Alternatively a short flight under 2 hours could get you from the Capital to Senja.
Hiking trips are popular to the peaks and somewhere I would love to visit. Each peak gives you a new 360 view of the unique landscape- a photographers paradise.
I also came across this video of different time-lapses from around Norway. It looks great, have a watch.
