All over the world there are incredible and unique places. We
want to bring them to you so that you can be inspired to visit them!
Today, our post is about the charming city of Krakow, in Poland!
Particularly, we will be talking about Krakow Main Square (Rynek Główny, in Polish). This is one of the most famous places of this Polish city, located in the South of the country, near the border with Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine.
The town square is the center of the so-called “Stare Miasto”, the Old Town, and is one of the main attractions of the city. Why?
A large square, surrounded by old buildings, in impeccable state of conservation, the beautiful St. Mary's Basilica and with an incredible tower and market in its center, is obviously remarkable, don’t you think? :)
We
had been to Krakow last year, in 2017, and stayed there for two days, before we head to Warsaw. In this short trip through Poland, we also visited the Memorial of Auschwitz and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Stay tuned for more posts on this trip of ours!
While in Krakow, the weather wasn’t the best, but the city is charming anyway and the main square is an excellent starting point to explore Stare Miasto.
You can enter the main market for free, right in the square center and shop in the traditional shops, filled with handicraft and local products. Besides, you can also visit the St. Mary's Basilica, although you’ll have to pay for a ticket.
