Best Places to Stay in Georgia?
If you are planning a trip to Georgia, depending on how much time you have these cities should be included in your must-visit list. You can spend a week in Georgia but you can also spend 3 weeks in Georgia and you will have plenty to see and do. Let’s dive in!
Tbilisi
Starting with the most beautiful of them – Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. There is so much to see and do! We definitely will cover this in another post!
Old Meidan Tbilisi
Perfect location right in the city center of Tbilisi. Beautiful views from the top floor rooms and a reasonable price starting from $60 per room per night. Did we already mention the beautiful views?
Hotel Voyager
Beautiful, spacious, classic rooms with nice city views. The staff is the friendliest in the world and a nice room starts from $80 per night.
Orion Old Town
This is our favourite of Tbilisi hotels not only because it is the cheapest one starting at $55 a night but also because it has so much style. Great location, amazing staff and complimentary breakfast, all the things that we love!
Gori and Rustavi
Gori and Rustavi are nice places to visit in Georgia but we would not spend more than one full day there. You can easily arrange day-trips from Tbilisi to both of the places and base yourself in Tbilisi for a longer time.

Borjomi
Next on the way would be a night in Borjomi. The famous place where the salty-ish mineral water comes from.
Guest House Metreveli
After enjoying some luxury in Tbilisi you might want to look at the great budget options that are available around Georiga. This guest house charges $20 per room and looks like a classic Georgian family house. The house is absolutely spotless and the family that owns it will become your best friends immediately.
Borjomi Palace Health & Spa Center
We cannot believe that a place like this starts from $75 a night. Included breakfast, amazing spacious premises and beautiful brick-design rooms. The environment of the hotel is just great and if you get a room with a balcony you will hear the river running far away in the mountains. Beautiful sound to fall asleep to.
Golden Tulip Borjomi
Golden Tulip has to be a classic, however, in Georgia, it is way more affordable than anywhere in Europe or the US. A great double room starts from $140 per night. The luxury Golden Tulip offers is unbeatable. The hotel is an old heritage building which gives the guests an insanely authentic feeling.
Batumi
Then you should be making your way to Batumi, which is a great beach town. If you want to soak up some sun before heading to the mountains – Batumi is the place.
Four Seasons Hotel
Not the original Four Seasons you would expect but for $40 a night this place is perfect. The owners are amazingly charming, the place is 10 minutes from the beach and breakfast is included in the price.
The Admiral Hotel
The Black Sea is only 3 minutes away, what else could you want? Well, the staff is the most helpful, all the rooms have a balcony and they are VERY spacious. Each room has a seating area and windows from the ceiling to the floor. This is our favorite place in Batumi!
Grand Royal Batumi
We have to be honest – we fell in love with the round bed. That is the studio apartment with the sea view and comes for $120 a night. As an apartment, it has a kitchenette and did we already mention the views? Breakfast is included in the price as well.
Mestia
From Batumi, you would have to go and explore the Mestia region, which boasts beautiful mountains and rivers. There are so many day trips you can make from Mestia, including one to Ushguli and to see the glaciers melting in Chaladi.
Bapsha Guesthouse
Starting from $40 a night you will have the real homey feel in this place. The rooms have a beautiful mountain view and breakfast included in the price. And it is one of the best breakfasts we had in Georgia. The guesthouse has quite a character and it is a completely new building!
Guest House Keti Margiani
A classic mountain house run by a lovely family. Rooms start from $20 a night and the cheapest offers have a shared bathroom. Rooms with private bathroom would set you back around $45 per night. The views are beautiful, as everywhere in Mestia, but this is the most budget-friendly option if you want to save on the accommodation.
Suntower Hotel
A completely new hotel that has just opened its doors. A buffet breakfast is included in the price of $55 per night. All rooms have a balcony and a great view. Be one of the first people to enjoy the new, modern rooms and handy facilities.
Kutaisi
From Mestia you can make your way back to Tbilisi and stop in Kutaisi for a night.
Kiev Kutaisi Hotel
All the rooms are spacious and very clean. For $25 you can get a double room with a breakfast included. The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect, so close to the city center.
Hotel Monopoli
Another very reasonably priced accommodation in Kutaisi. Rooms start from $50 a night. The hotel is new and breakfast is included in the price. Rooms are airconditioned and the hotel is pet-friendly, by the way!
Best Western Kutaisi
In case you are looking for a bit more of an upscale accommodation Best Wester is your place! The location is just perfect – right next to the river. All the facilities are new as the hotel has just recently opened. Prices start from $120 a night, because, as we already know by now, big chain hotels are cheaper in Georgia than in Europe or the US. The hotel has a great feeling of luxury and the bathrooms are to die for, really!
Kazbegi
You cannot leave Georgia without a trip to the famous Kazbegi castle. To not overpack too many sights in one day stay around Kazbegi for a night and on your way to or back from Kazbegi definitely stop and visit Ananouri Fortress.
Hotel Sno Kazbegi
This is a brand new hotel in the small village of Sno. The rooms and the whole hotel is designed to look antique and with a touch of wood. It feels like you are staying in the king’s skiing/hunting house. Rooms start at $85 and breakfast is included in the price, as well as is the proximity and views of the mountains.
Alpenhaus B&B
A simple mountain guest house with amazing views, as everywhere in Kazbegi. The location is very peaceful. Breakfast is included in the price and rooms start at $35 per night.
Rooms Hotel Kazbegi
There’s a saying to save the best for the last. Well, this place is the best place you could stay in Georgia, no kidding. The views are insane, take all the previous gorgeous views you have seen and multiply them by 10. The design is amazing and very special and each room is somehow different. However, this gorgeous place comes with a price. The cheapest rooms start at $200 and you have to book quite early as this is a very popular place. This place is like a fairytale.
