I'd like to share with you some photos I took this weekend at the Parque da Mem贸ria (Memorial Park), in Vila do Conde. These shots show the Life-Sized Nativity Scene, which is part of the many activities and events put together by the city hall, since the beginning of December.
The overall scene was quite realistic and the children were loving it but also some adults, who showed a lot of interest in it. Some were even walking up to the actors who were playing the roles of Joseph and Mary to chat with them.
The whole stage was pretty good... and the only thing missing was a real baby playing the part of Jesus - for obvious reasons.
They even had a real cow on the stage.
I was able to grab some close shots at the cow and she thought that my camera looked so tasty... she almost licked it. 馃構
The cow appears to be in great shape and very clean. I assume she's been treated very well.
We all know how cows attract insects, namely flies in search for a dirty meal.
Here, however, there wasn't a single fly hovering around her. I wonder what kind of sorcery they used?
Before she could do any damage, I took a step back.
And finally, here's the close up shot of the actors. I had already shown you this one yesterday but here it is again, for those who missed that post.
I hope you enjoyed these shots... and if you are ever in Portugal during Christmas, you now know where to go, in order to have a good time. In Vila do Conde, the City Hall is always very active and planning these kind of events. Not only during Christmas but all year long. There's always some exhibit, market or fair going on. 馃
