Therefore some photos from last year's travel to Tunisia, some photos from an old traditional Berber settlement with some views into nature for TreeTuesday. I can't wait to go there again and learn more about their culture and how they lived in the past 3,000 years. Some more visuals below to give you some indication. The Berber community on Djerba is quite old.
Berber's history
Just in a nutshell about the Berbers. They come from North Africa originally and numerous communities exist across the region in Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Morocco and Egypt to mention a few aonly.
The Berbers majority live in Morocco and Algeria and they cal themselves Imazighen and they do speak various dialects / languages related to Ancient Egyptian.
