A tale about Thailand.
Hello steemit community, I'm doing this sort of recall diary about my trip to Thailand, a trip that changed my life and the way that I look at it. My first entry you can find it here . After three hours of sleep, I woke up to a Thai lady screaming "breakfast". By this point I was extremely jet lagged, the Thai lady started immediately unpacking our bunkbeds and transforming them very quickly into regular train seats.
I was in my way to Chiang Mai, still without knowing where I was going to sleep, to stay and only knowing a person there, actually the correct definition was, I talked to this guy - - on the internet a couple of times before I go. Seeing Thailand for the first time at day light, was like seeing for the first time. All that jungle, the irregular mountain ridges on the horizon, the strange looking cows by the rivers and the endless rice fields...
I'm a big believer of law of attraction and I always said that the universe would lead me on the right direction and so it was... I met this spanish girl on the train, we talked for a couple of hours and after arriving to Chiang Mai I decided to take a look at the Hostel where she was going to stay! It was love at first sight... and it just felt right!

So I decided to rent an outside cabana, calling it a cabana is... basically is a mattress with a mosquito net over you and a roof made of some sort of leafs. Never the less... it was freaking amazing and the weather was always warm and nice. The best part of this, was the price... 99 Baths something like 2.53 euros or 3.15 dollars (sorry Americans!). Wifi included.
My messy room and my "closet" under it.
After settling in, I went for a walk on the city. Chiang Mai is valley surrounded by some of the tallest mountains in Thailand, the ping river crosses it on a snaky waved shape! The legend says that the Naga -mythical serpent-like creaturess -of Suthep temple is responsible for the river ping wavy shape, cause they believe, that this creature was the one opening the room for the water to flow.
Nagas represent and protect the ascension of mankind consciousness to a higher level
The center of the city designated, as old town or old city is perfectly shaped in the form of a square. The square by it self is surrounded by a water channel and preciously at the middle of each side of the square there some old walls ruins and a huge gate. The most famous one, or at least where you can find the most amount of tourist is the Tha Phae Gate, mostly because it has a huge square surrounding it.
The rest of the day, i spend it walking around, just getting to know the city and trying some restaurants in the area. The constant traffic it was what shocked the most, on the first days. The constant movement of scooter,s bicycles, red taxis, tuk tuks and cars was something that i was not prepared too. If can definitely can feel all the fumes in the air, making the air hotter and heavier to breath. I guess in a near future, its gonna be hard to sustain these emissions in Chiang Mai. So my suggestion is please don't use tuk tuks or red taxis if you're in Chiang Mai, they re the top polluters.
Back to the hostel, i noticed i had really made a good decision in staying there, the ambiance is very chilled, people were always very respectful with noise at night and every one was very friendly. The responsible for the Hostel, are this super amazing open minded friendly Thai couple that own 5 cats that normally are just lazing around or raising hell trough the hostel. They are for sure the most beloved cats in chiang Mai, cause every single guest there cuddle them to exhaustion.
We the guests use to spend some nights catching movies
Molly the oldest cat, sleeping on top of the counter of the Hostel reception
The water channel that surrounds the perfect square that is old city
Another view form the hostel backyard where you could sit and relax
Tyger one of the hell raiser cats from the hostel having a chill in the backyard
And this I conclude my second entrance, stay tune for more. Do a upvote, resteem it, share, follow. And I will check you out as a Karma return!
Till next time...
