The Sacré-Coeur has been build in memory of the 58.000 victims whi died during the French-German war in 1870 - 1871. The Basilic is build on the Montmartre.
There are alway's a lot of tourist in this area, and tourists attrackts scammers, so if you visit Montmartre be aware of pickpockets and people trying to frame you.
In the basilic you can see a lot of paintings and it has one of the largest images of Jesus, in Mozaik.
