Remember how I said there are lots of things to do in Las Vegas besides gambling? Visiting the Hoover Dam is one of them. Technically it's not in Vegas, but it's only 45 minutes away. If you visit one and not the other you'd be missing out. The Hoover Dam is an impressive feat of engineering surrounded by stunning scenery. And let's not forget that it was in the best Superman movie of all time. You can bet that we listened to the Superman theme by John Williams as we drove through the desert mountains.
