The Buffalo River in Arkansas has many wonderful camping spots, but this one is not on the official park pamphlet. I found it last year because it was marked with a sign on the state highway showing the entrance via a dirt county road. Now there is no sign, someone must have removed it wanting to keep this spot secret. It is still maintained, having a vault toilet and 5 camping spots with tables, metal firepits and lantern poles. The swimming area is superb and you will likely have the place to yourself on a weekday and the beach area is long enough to provide privacy even if many others are present. The water is calm, deep and clear and lined with steep, high bluffs on the other side. A beautiful, private spot in nature and my favorite swimming hole on the Buffalo River.
I'd like to keep this place secret from the masses, so i didn't divulge the directions publicly. If you want directions, message me and I will send them to you.
