Bali, the Island of Gods
There is nothing more wonderful than vacationing – be it a family getaway, a romantic trip or enjoying with your friends. And every one of us has countless reasons for going on a trip. Some people like exploring new places while some like to be close to nature and reflect on one’s life. For me, traveling is nothing but a reason to relax and rejuvenate. While vacationing, I keep my rules very simple. I am here to unplug and therefore I do not overburden myself with an overwhelming schedule. This is exactly what I did when I went to Bali, the Island of Gods.
Place: Alila, Ubud
Popularly known for its beaches, coral reefs, and yoga and meditation retreats, Bali definitely suited my temperament.
Well, that’s the reason why I chose Bali for my sojourn!!! As it’s my travel agent who booked my hotels; he had selected Ubud, which I later came to know as the fastest growing tourist destination. Though the reason for its popularity is its beautiful landscape, temples and shrines, what I liked most about Ubud was the Infinity Pools. May be because it was the first time that I was seeing one, I fell in love with it.
For those who are hearing it for the first time; Infinity pools are those that create a visual effect of having no boundary. Known as endless pools, the beauty of these pools are inexpressible. It is actually irresistible.
Place: The Hanging Gardens of Bali
Don't hesitate to visit the most stunning and incredible pools of Bali and feel this amazing power of Ubud in your veins!
I have been to two more places in Bali, that I will tell you more about in later posts. I absolutely love this island and the people there are amazing.
