The Philippines are well known for their beautiful sandy beaches and stunning blue water. Probably the most and well know beaches are on an Island called Palawan. The northern part of Palawan is more touristic and the main city is called El Nido.
El Nido lays on the most northern part of the island.
The most common way to go there is from Puerto Princesa which is the main city of the Island. You can fly there from Manila or anywhere else. Then there's a 5-6 hour drive to Elnido with a shuttle bus.
Elnido is most known for the island hopping trips. You have four trips that you can choose from: A, B, C and D. The most visited are tour A and C. Those are the tours I took on my stay in the Philippines. You can also do a two-day combination of the tours.
I would highly recommend this option. This way you get to spend a night on a deserted island sleeping in a tent, which is an amazing experience (trust me :)
Tour A itinerary:
Small Lagoon
You will swim through a narrow gap leading to a lagoon with beautiful rock surrounding the pool.
Big Lagoon
The best snorkeling place, the water is really clear! Never seen anything like this before :O
Shimizu Island
This is where you get your lunch. They grill the food on the boat and serve the food on the beach. There were all sorts of fish and meat, fruit served at lunch. Btw it was all delicious!
Secret Lagoon
It's not that secret It looks like everybody finds it :) But even with the mass of tourists, it's still stunning.
7 Commando Beach
This is a great place with wooden huts and a volleyball net. Great place to chill and relax.
At the end of the trip, thay take you to a deserted island (if you take the two-day trip). You get a welcome drink 1 liter of rum per person. Yes, I didn't do a typo 1 liter of rum per person and some coca-cola. Then you enjoy your rum and drift into the night on a deserted island.
The next day they pick you up bright and early. Hangover a side you jump on the boat and go on the second day of adventure.
Tour C itinerary:
Helicopter Island
An easy first stop you can snorkel or just chill on the nice beach. Oh ye the name helicopter island is because it's shaped like a helicopter kinda makes sense (:
Hidden Beach
It's quite hidden. There is a small pool inside surrounded with amazing lime stone and sandy beaches.
Matinloc Shrine
It's the lunch stop again we ate the same food as the day before but nobody complained it was delicious once again!
Cadlao Lagoon
This is differently the highlight of the tour C. Amazing snorkeling and wild life in the water surrounded by beautiful nature and lime stone.
After this, you return to El Nido you're pretty tired physically from all the swimming and mentally from absorbing all the beauty from the trip.
If you have any energy left you can go and hang out at the reggae bar on the beach!
This is all don't know for the other two tours but there's no dought in my mind that they're as beautiful as this two in a such an amazing place like this!
