Four traditional Indonesian dances will be staged at the prestigious international cultural festival of Llgollen International Musical Eisteddfod in Wales, England.
The four dances are the Kipah Dance from Aceh, the Belibis Dance from Bali, the Young Mudi Dance from Papua, and the Nagekeo Dance Bangkit from Flores-East Nusa Tenggara
This cultural festival event will be followed by more than 5,000 singers, dancers and musicians from around 50 countries.
Belibis dance from Bali tells the King Prabu Angling Drama which is condemned to be a bird of Belibis. Belibis dance displays a dynamic and harmonious movement with gamelan as accompanist.
The Muda-Mudi dance of Papua, which is one of the top seeds in the festival, is a group dance that illustrates friendship, especially among boys and girls.
The Nagekeo Dance Up from Flores NTT displays a feminine and dynamic movement, and tells of solidarity and unity.
Guntur hopes Indonesia's involvement in this world festival will have a good impact for all sectors, including tourism. So that Indonesian culture can be more global and known and attract tourists to visit Indonesia.
