It is one more blessed spring day, warm and sunny. This day is filled with deep blue sky, birdsongs, colorful blooming, gentle breeze... and freedom!
And I keep discovering Ukrainian steppe along the canyon of river Southern Buh.
I live in a country of unique yet undiscovered beauty. And while I'm still under impressions I will show you terrific landscapes, breathtaking views and, of course, flowers!
Trip like this is not just an escape from the city or have fun or rest. It's an awesome chance to learn more about my country, it's nature, architecture, history, customs and legends. That's why it is always so exciting.
Today again I have learned a couple of new species and seen in real something I've never seen before. E. g. tarantula! Photo later...
First stop is small hydro power station.
This rock is called Integral for its shape.
This is Akvovyi Canyon again, but down by the river.
This is Muscari botryoides (L.) or Hyacinthus botryoides. It is on Red List of Ukraine.
This plant you've probably seen not once. It is Sempervivum or houseleeks or liveforever. Its common name in ukrainian can be translated as stone rose. Lovely!
