I took this photo this afternoon when we visited the amazingly beautiful Tal Mixta Cave. Armed with sandwiches wrapped in tinfoil, a bag of monkey nuts and a bottle of €3 Brut, we set out on our adventure. The sun beat down at a glorious 17 degrees, finally starting to toast our pale faces after a cold and seemingly endless winter.
As we laid out our inexpensive lunch, and began to take in the vibrant scenery, I felt at peace. Sharing a bag of salty snacks with my daughter, partaking in a few glasses of bubbles with my hubby , the world seemed postcard-like. That’s when I saw it. Looking to my left declared that we were, in fact, in paradise. Looking to my right, a perfectly coiled lump of, ‘poo!’ exclaimed my excited daughter, ‘dog poo!’
Although nowhere is perfect, this place is pretty beautiful, even taking into account the dog poo. Check out our other photos below. It’s a must-see when visiting Gozo. If you have any questions about Gozo, I am happy to help!
Location – It’s not easy to find
You must travel through the village of Nadur and follow the signs to Ramla Bay. As you descend towards the beach, there is a right hand turn directly to the side of the cemetery. Go up the path, follow it to a crossroads and turn left. Take the left fork and park next to the house. Walk 10 meters past the house, and there is a hole to your left. Go and enjoy the amazing view!
