Our IIT Kanpur MD Workshop finished on 22nd March and my flight was on the next day 7.25PM from Lucknow. So I got enough time to roam around through Lucknow. We(2 friends and myself) booked a taxi early morning from IIT Kanpur to Lucknow. The day started very badly for me. After taking a quick breakfast and sitting in the taxi through bad/shitty/stinky roads in Kanpur, I had to stop the ride in between for vomiting! But luckily after that, I regained my good mood.
Bada Imambara
And when we reached Lucknow, we decided to go to Bada Imambara first. It was buildings full of religious(Shia Islam specifically, because I could see a lot of Iranian religious leaders' pictures including Khomeini there) and historical(Nawabs of Awadh region ruled from here) importance. Let me share some pictures of the place first.
The Iranian Imams!
This was the video which I took from Bhul Bulaiya there.
Aminabad
The state of Uttarpradesh is known for hindu right wing nationalism, but when you are at Lucknow you will feel that you are at a historical Moslem city. Lucknowi Urdu and Biryani is very well known. Tunday Kabab is one of the special food items here. So we started asking for the location to get the best Tunay kebab. We started asking for this to locals and my friend was asking chicken kebab for some reason and they sent us to a CHIKAN STORES, which was traditional garments made in Lucknow. They were not chicken kebabs! FACE PALM moment! Anyway, we proceeded without showing our foolish mistakes and came to know that there is a place called Aminabad nearby. We heard that Aminabad is the place to look for Tunday Kabab.

After getting tired we decided to catch taxi to Lucknow Airport for our flights. It was a great day to be honest. :)
