I am a Barcelona lover, but only from afar. I first ran into this architecture in a college art class with a teacher who was also in love with it. He had visited the city many times and showed us a lot of photos. Like you say, it is impossible to place some of it in the past or future. Maybe it is timeless.
I have never seen the monastery before now though. What incredible views. That sure does not look like how I imagine Spain to be. And it's so funny to know that a monastery would have all the tourist trappings! I try to avoid that anywhere I go, but it is increasingly difficult.
You have really fantastic and unique angles in your photos. I have been looking at photos of Gaudi's work ever since I took that class, and you show me things I have not seen before.
