A city of art called venice
Venice has a lot to offer! Not only do you mainly move on water by taxiboats, there is also a lot of art you can see on your way. I visited binneale di venezia and as many muesum I could during my 3 day trip. I can recommend booking a airbnb appartment somewhere in the middle of the island because you can reach everything by boat or by foot! The way to the museum is a piece of art by itself! As you can see in the following images people use a boat to commute. Even the people going to work not only the tourists.
This is one of the famous taxiboats in venice. They call them "vaporetto". It is a very expensive service if you book a private boat. Otherwise there is also like a public taxi boat just like taking a bus in our country. I think for anybody living in europe it is a must to go there in their lifetime. Since i heared the city is actually sinking because of the rise of the waterlevel, you might have to hurry up! Truly a beautiful city under water.
Pretty much arround every corner you will find a little restaurant where you can eat your pizza, pasta or cichietti. I love italian food so it was a blessing to eat out everyday for lunch and dinner. I probably ate my best pizza or pasta ever at the shore of venice accompanied by a great glass of wine and some grappa to end! Since the place is very touristic the prices are accordingly expensive.
Here some random images i took with my iphone7 and my manual canon A1. The images where all taken at the biennale, palazzo grassi or other tiny museums in the city. I have also made a own post for the "palazzo grassi" since this was of the main exhibitions in the city. Feel free to view my blog about it here:
Museumtour Venice: Palazzo Grassi
The last image is me making a photo in one of the art installations. Theybuilt up some frames and mirrored a few of them, it was quite irritating to not walk into one of the mirrors.
