Dublin had my heart at Hello. :)
I like very much exploring places by foot so Dublin is an excellent town for that because of the short distances and lots of places to see. We spent only one day there so we decided to have no plan what so ever. Just eat and see as much as we could during those few (about 8 to 10) hours.
Trinity College was one of the places we wanted to visit. As we tried our best to avoid the big crowds and went where there were only smaller crowds or none, we had to skip the Book of Kells and instead found our way to Trinity College Zoological Museum.
On our way there we stumbled upon this art piece. A monument. Sphere Within Sphere.
Now have you ever heard about The Langoliers?
The Langoliers is a novel by Stephen King. It is also a horror miniseries written by Tom Holland.
I read the novel when I was a teenager and this is how I always imagined a langolier would be. Sphere Within Sphere. This is the Langolier from my head, implanted there by Stephen King.
The basic idea of The Langoliers novel is: what happens when the present, the time right now is gone? And what happens if you get separated from your own time. Now I won't be revealing anything else to you if you haven't read the novel and plan to read it. I recommend it highly! Or if you can't find the novel anywhere, try to find the miniseries. I read the novel first and I wasn't disappointed when I saw the series. I loved the fact that the director was true to the original novel. Even the tissue ripper guy.
The Langoliers is one of my favorite novels by Steven King. Mrs. Todd's Shortcut is right beside it at the top number one place. Mrs. Todd's Shortcut tells a story about Mrs. Todd, who is obsessed with finding shortcuts. This is an excellent novel also, so I highly recomment reading it if you already haven't had the pleasure.
Thank you Dublin for many beautiful, historical and modern things, but especially for the fact that I saw a langolier. I noticed that no-one has added this to Steemit Worldmap yet, so I had to.
