Situated in the middle of the Island of the Pregnant Maiden in Langkawi, I was actually expecting a beautiful natural lake where people can sit or swim around. However, it has been turned into water activities spot where you can enjoy paddle boats and kayaking. Swimming is allowed, of course, but only in a boxed area that have been built. So it doesn't feel natural anymore. But I guess it can't be avoided since it is a tourist spot.
To get to the lake requires some effort, as you have to walk up and down some stairs. Some say it takes 10 mins of walking. But for me, the most challenging part is having to walk pass the wild monkeys, who are waiting to snatch away your food or even water bottles! .
