Located in the mid-sized Czech town of the same name (Mlada Boleslav), just a short drive from Prague, the Mlada Boleslav Castle is a monumental medieval castle whose very origin dates back to as early as the second half of the 10h century.
Listed as one of the National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic since 1958, the castle has been rebuilt many times throughout the centuries, which is also why it features architectural elements from different eras including Gothic and Renaissance.

Considered one of the most iconic landmarks of the town, the Mlada Boleslav Castle has been home to the municipal museum since 1972. The museum is dedicated to the history and culture of the town as well as the whole Mlada Boleslav Region.
