Week number 4 of Travel Tunes Tuesday, a fun project set up by .
Here are my travel tunes for this week.
1. Bullet Train (acoustic version) by Stephen Swartz feat. Joni Fatora
I absolutely love this song. Not only have I played it on repeat on an actual bullet train in Japan, I'll play it any time for any mood. It is a beautiful song about constantly moving. On that note, it kind of speaks to my very soul since I am constantly on the move and can't stay in one place. The original version of the song is kind of a chillstep song but I like this version a lot better. It is the perfect travel tune.
2. Atrevete te te by Calle 13
This is the first Reggaeton song I ever heard once I knew what Reggaeton was. I seriously wish bands would stop naming themselves after street names (Calle means Street) but I'll give them a pass for their unique music. Old school, yet unconventional. This song makes me want to hop on a plane to Puerto Rico.
3. Ramblin' Man by The Allman Brothers
What can I say? My dad calls me a ramblin' man, probably because he likes this song and I suppose it does describe me pretty well. "When it's time for leavin', I hope you'll understand that I was born a ramblin' man." These lyrics seem to run through my head every time I meet someone on my travels and then have to say goodbye to them a short time later. Goodbyes are one of the worst parts of traveling but that is part of the life we travelers choose to live.
Oh, and that 2 minute guitar solo! They just don't make songs like this anymore.
What are your favorite travel tunes?
