It's name, Ficus macrophylla says everything
This tree is enormous!!!
Here, sitted in its roots makes me look very small
Despite my 1,70m I'm not the tallest portuguese woman, but I'm not the shortest either!
Here I was walking gently stepping its roots.
On Coimbra there are two imponent Ficus macrophylla trees, this one at Quinta das Lágrimas and the other one in Jardim Botânico - Coimbra University.
The latest one got pretty damaged after Leslie's storm in october, but I haven't seen it yet.
I tried to capture this tree in one photo, but that's impossible! So here's the bottom...
...and now the top! (at least part of it)
Big trees like this must be protected for human hope endurance!!
